Well, you know where this is! Time square, visually and olfactorily arresting.
What a place!
What a place!
I had a great time, I barely complained at all about having to schlep child and stroller around this fabulous city. We were so giddy we even found the cab rides thrilling; as exciting as a dodgy fairground ride and just a wee bit more dangerous.
Carousel - Central Park
We did many of the touristy things with plenty of park time thrown in for kid and parent relief.

For you North Americans I'm sure all of this is not so interesting, you've no doubt been to New York a bunch of times, but for me, all the way from little old New Zealand, it was mesmerizing. Please excuse these photos, they are, I think, primarily for my mother's benefit.

New York, New York, What a wonderful town.
Thanks for sharing the photos! I look forward to one day getting my pokey lil Aussie butt to NY. *sigh*
I posted at your prints over on my blog today. I hope you don't mind. I also posted a customer appreciation photo as part of my etsy feedback. Sorry it took so long.
Have a great holiday!
So glad you had a good time. No matter how many times you go, it's still exciting! Nothing else is like NYC, and looks like you did it just right! So glad you shared your photos...
really great shots that capture many moods of NYC...I am lucky that I get to visit my brother in Brookly quite a bit, so I never lose the city completely now that I am a country girl again. glad you had such a nice time!
So not all of us have made it to New York, despite living on the same continent. It was fun to see your pix. It looks like you may have found some new chair inspiration for your rooster at the museum?
Hi!
I love to know about techniques as well...some work is such a mystery to me...
I draw and "paint" on ceramic tile...so first I draw my image, then I go over it with wax resist...then I glaze it with clay glazes, then I fire in a kiln and voila! finito.
I have been trying to get up my confidence with just ink and paint..so you will start seeing some of those posted as well.
have a lovely day
